Food grade stainless steel material

Food grade stainless steel is mainly 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.

1. 304 stainless steel can resist chemical corrosion and oxidation, stainless steel pressure cooker standard material is 304 or more.

2. 316 stainless steel is better, contains 10% nickel, more corrosion resistance, widely used in medical, no metal ion precipitation, very safe.


The difference between food grade 304 and SUS304 stainless steel

SUS304 refers to 304 stainless steel.SUS is the Japanese material standard, 304 stainless steel is produced in accordance with the U.S. ASTM standard stainless steel grade.304 is equivalent to our country's 06Cr19Ni10 stainless steel, Japan also cited the U.S. call, called: SUS304.SUS304 is not necessarily food-grade stainless steel, which is only the Japanese grade.

Food grade stainless steel pipe and sanitary stainless steel pipe do have some differences in the production process.


First of all, the raw materials of food grade stainless steel pipe and sanitary stainless steel pipe are the same stainless steel material, but the production requirements of sanitary stainless steel pipe are more stringent. In the production process, sanitary stainless steel pipe requires a more delicate manufacturing process and higher quality materials to ensure the surface finish and sterility of the pipe.
